- to use different persuasive techniques in our writing
- to correctly structure an exposition
- to draft and proofread written work
Why:

- to improve our persuasive writing by using more sophisticated persuasive techniques, including the use of modal verbs
- to practise and improve drafting and proofreading skills
Introduction: Fact and Opinion
Persuasive writing is all about sharing your opinion. You may use facts to support your arguments, but it is important to be able to distinguish between the two.
To learn or practise this skill, click on the link below to access a short activity: https://www.quia.com/pop/12709.html
Activity one: We will be completing a pre-test to determine your beginning understanding of persuasive language techniques. Go to kahoot.it and get the code from your teacher.
Assessment task: Exposition
We will be using Google Docs to complete your Exposition. To access your Google Doc, you will be given a link. It is expected that all students have a peer editor read over their Google Doc to help improve and refine their writing.
