LEARNING INTENTIONS: PICTURE BOOKS
We are learning to:
- analyze multi-modal text (including written and visual elements)
- identify visual text elements such as symbolism, use of color, etc
- use subject specific words for visual text analysis
- identify the audience and purpose of a text
- write a response
Why:
- understand how language use and content is different depending on purpose and audience
- to develop our understanding of multi-modal text
- to improve our academic vocabulary
